The famous little wizard will appear on a limited series of coins published by Royal Mint.

We finally found the magic money! The pound sterling is tossed around with the instability of the British economy. Never mind ! The famous wizard Harry Potter will appear on a series of coins published by Royal Mint, the organization responsible for manufacturing coins and banknotes in the United Kingdom.

«Royal Mint launches a collection of spellbinding coins to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Stone“, first volume of the adventures with the phenomenal success of the wizard and the fantastic universe created by the author JK Rowling, specifies Royal Mint in a press release. Harry Potter will feature alongside other unveiled collectibles featuring portraits of Queen Elizabeth II, who died last month, and two others with the official portrait of King Charles III.

The pound as volatile as Bitcoin

The series will include four rooms including a portrait of the famous wizard with round glasses but also the Hogwarts Express train, Professor Albus Dumbledore and the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The pieces will produce an optical effect that mimics the impact of a “thunderboltwhen they are rotated in front of the light, obtained thanks to a state-of-the-art laser that gives both a character “magicalto the documents, but also makes it possible to secure and authenticate them.
