Employment: to buy, renovate and resell your bikes, Alltricks will hire in Châteaudun

by time news

After the refurbished phone, it’s the turn of the bike. Alltricks, the French champion in the online sale of sporting goods, cycling, running, etc., is entering this niche. The company, whose logistics is based in Châteaudun, offers individuals or professionals the opportunity to buy back their bikes.

They will then be refurbished and sold on the internet, alongside new products, or in one of its six stores since this brand is also beginning to develop a network of stores, with two new openings planned for next year.

Sellers have two options. They can either drop off their bike in one of these stores or ship it free of charge to Châteaudun using the means provided by Alltricks, so that it can be repaired and reconditioned there if necessary.

A new 25,000 m2 warehouse

To enable the development of this new service called “Second Life”, the company is in the process of reorganizing its logistics and expanding. In 2023, it will take delivery of a new 25,000 m2 warehouse which will accommodate new storage areas, which will free up space in the current premises to set up the reconditioning activity there.

Employment will also ramp up with “several dozen employees” dedicated to reconditioning bicycles compared to around 10 full-time at present, plus thirty to forty “in shared time”, specifies the director of Second Life, Vanessa Mohli.

In this growing market, Second Life is running in, but its growth should be rapid, continues the director who predicts that within three years, the sale of reconditioned bicycles “could represent 30% of the turnover of Alltricks”.
