A fatal car accident occurred this morning (Saturday) on the Jerusalem road near the Ganim intersection in Petah Tikva when two 21-year-old young men who were riding a motorcycle were hit, and as a result one of them was pronounced dead on the spot after suffering multiple systemic injuries. The second rider was taken seriously to the Belinson Medical Center in the city while he was conscious with injuries to his head and limbs.

Police officers who arrived at the scene opened an investigation to find out the circumstances of the accident and apparently it was a self-inflicted accident, during which a motorcycle hit the sidewalk and was thrown towards a road sign and collided with it. As a result, the two flew off the motorcycle and the vehicle continued riding alone for about 200 meters until it stopped on the road. The initial suspicion of the police is that the accident happened as a result of driving at an excessive speed, which caused a loss of control of the vehicle.

MDA paramedic Eidit Levy and MDA senior medic Hazi Gutman said: “The two riders were lying on the road dozens of meters away from the motorcycle suffering from severe bruises on their bodies. One of the riders was unconscious and suffered a multi-system injury, he was without signs of life and after medical examinations All we had to do was determine his death. The second rider was conscious and suffered serious injuries to his head and limbs. We gave him medical treatment that included stopping the bleeding, immobilization and administering medication and evacuated him for further treatment at the hospital as he is in serious condition.”
