19.80 crore revenue in tea auction boom

Kunnar: The Gunnar tea auction saw a sharp rise in sales and prices, with a total revenue of Rs 19.80 crore.

In the 42nd tea auction held at the Kunnar Tea Auction Centre, 14.47 lakh kg of leaf variety and 5.49 lakh kg of dust variety, a total of 19.96 lakh kg of tea powder was sold. Out of this, 13.78 lakh kg of leaf variety and 5.38 lakh kg of dust variety were sold, totaling 19.16 lakh kg.

2.48 Crores as compared to the previous week, the total income increased. The average price was Rs 103.32 per kg. 3.68 per kg higher than last week. For the first time in the current year, manufacturers are happy as sales and prices have picked up, with a total revenue of Rs 19.80 crore.
