Jeddah: The Saudi Passport General Directorate has stated that the visit visa for individuals can be renewed up to seven days before the expiry date. Visa extension can be done through the ‘Abshir’ account of the sponsor (individual or organization) who has taken the visit visa.
A valid health insurance is mandatory to complete the procedure. The visa period cannot be extended beyond six months. If you want to renew your visa three days after the expiry date, you will have to pay a fine.
Even though there is a fine related to the traffic violations of the sponsored sponsor of the visa, there will be no hurdle for renewal through the ‘Abshir’ platform. Similarly, the directorate clarified that the visa can be renewed even if the sponsor’s iqama period is over.
