New Delhi: Four people have been arrested for allegedly installing a secret camera in a hotel room, taking ‘video’ of a couple’s private parts and threatening to publish it on the internet.
A couple stayed in a hotel of ‘Oyo’ company in Noida. The next morning a ‘video’ arrived on their mobile phones.
On the first night in the hotel room, their intimacy was videotaped. The couple was shocked to see this.
Following this, a person contacted their mobile phone and said that they had taken a video with a hidden camera installed in the hotel room and threatened to publish it on websites if they did not pay.
Subsequently, the couple lodged a complaint with the Noida police. The police registered a case and arrested four persons namely Vishnu Singh, Abdul Wahab, Pankaj Kumar and Anurag Kumar Singh.
Devices including laptops, SIM cards, secret cameras and computers were seized from them.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that the gang has been doing similar activities at OYO hotels across the country.
Noida police are searching for this gang leader. However, Oyo has not yet given any explanation regarding this incident.
