About 50 students of Tamil Nadu studying in private law colleges in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, were coming towards Chennai in cars after writing the examination held today. In this case, there has been a technical problem in making payments through BASTOC at the National Customs at Vadamalaipettai on Andhra-Tamil Nadu border.
In this regard, an argument broke out between the toll booth employees and the students and turned into a scuffle. After that, the toll booth staff together smashed a car in which the students were coming. When the students were asked to pat them down, the local people who had gathered there, joined in support of the customs officials and started assaulting the students.

After receiving the information, the police reached the spot, pacified both sides and took them to the police station for investigation. Meanwhile, it has been reported that law college students are planning to hold a protest protest against the indiscriminate attack on Tamil Nadu law students.

In this case, Visika leader and Lok Sabha MP Thirumavalavan condemned the incident on Twitter. In his Twitter post, he said, “College students from Tamil Nadu have been severely assaulted following a dispute over fares at Andhra border Puthur toll booth. Many vehicles have been smashed. The condition of those assaulted is unknown. Chief Minister Stalin should take appropriate action.”
