E-Platform for Cancer Diagnosis in Saudi Arabia; First in the Middle East

Riyadh – The Saudi Ministry of Health has announced that the Middle East’s first electronic platform for cancer diagnosis has been launched. The e-Platform for Cancer was launched at the virtual health hospital headquarters in Riyadh with the aim of improving the quality of health services provided to cancer patients.

The platform will be overseen by a team of Saudi doctors specializing in sub-specialties. Ministry of Health has launched e-Platform for Oncology in partnership with Saudi Telecom Company (STC). The e-platform will facilitate exchange of knowledge and experiences among experts in the field located within and outside the country.

According to the Ministry, some doctors working on the e-Platform have started studying many cases of breast cancer in different regions of Saudi Arabia.
