Dubai: Dubai hosted 45 international and regional sporting events in the last 10 days of October. These championships are organized in association with Dubai Sports Council. Eight of these are international championships. Dubai Beach Games Festival, World Beach Volleyball Pro Tour, Dubai Pro Bodybuilding Championship, Ten International Tennis Tournament, World Paddle Championship and Dubai Bodybuilding Exhibition are the main competitions in this.
The Beach Games Festival started on Friday. The World Beach Volleyball Pro Tour, which started on Saturday, will end on October 30. 192 male and female players representing 25 regions in different parts of the world are participating. 96 teams will compete in 266 matches. It is organized by International Volleyball Federation in collaboration with Dubai Sports Council.
The Dubai Pro Bodybuilding Championship for Master Olympia qualification will be held on 22nd and 23rd. The winners of this championship held at the Dubai World Trade Center will advance to the Masters Olympia final round in Vegas, USA in December. Young tennis stars will arrive in Dubai this week to participate in the Paul International Tennis Championship. The tournament runs from 23rd to 30th. This is the first Ten Pro Championship in the Midelite.
337 male and female players from 52 countries will compete. The competition will be held in under 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 categories. The Dubai Bodybuilding and Fitness Exhibition will be held at the World Trade Center from October 28. Dubai’s Traditional Canoe Rowing Competition will be held in Jaddaf on 30th of this month. Organized by Dubai International Marine Club. On the same day, the Women’s Bodybuilding Championship is being held at the World Trade Center.
The World Paddle Championships will be held from October 31 to November 5 at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium. 16 national teams will participate. Mushrif Mountain Bike Race will be held at Mushrif Park in Alkhawaneej on 23rd from 6 am. The race is 9, 18, 37 and 56 km. The Dubai School Games will continue this week. Around 5000 students from 220 schools are participating.
The Dubai Labor Sports Tournament will feature football, volleyball, badminton, cricket, panchagusti, yoga, tug-of-war and swimming. 150 teams are participating in the Dubai Open Football Academy tournament. 1200 matches will be played in the tournament which will last till March 30. My Dubai Half Marathon is on October 30 at the Dubai World Financial Centre. 5, 10 and 21 km races will be held. Apart from this, many regional tournaments will be staged in the last days of this month.
