Indian captain Rohit Sharma got emotional during the national anthem. Rohit got emotional when India’s national anthem was played before the Super 12 match against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup. Meanwhile, Pakistan lost two wickets in the match. Pakistan lost openers Babar Azam (0) and Mohammad Rizwan (4). Both were sent back by Arshdeep Singh. Arshdeep Rizwan caught Babar in front of the wicket and got it to Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Arshdeep bowled the second over and trapped Babar in his first ball. Babar took DRS but the onfield call stood. In his second over, Arshdeep also returned Rizwan on the last ball of the fourth over of the innings. Rizwan tried to hook the bouncer and ended up in Bhuvi’s hands at deep fine leg.

After the dismissal of the openers, Shan Masood and Iftikhar Ahmad, who came to the crease, are slowly building the innings. The duo have added 76 runs for the third wicket so far. Shaan Masood (27) and Iftikhar Ahmad (51) continue at the crease. Iftikhar’s fifty came in 32 balls. Pakistan scored 91 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 12 overs.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and chose to field. Despite the batting pitch, Rohit sent Pakistan to bat considering the possibility of rain and overcast conditions.
