The President of Russia, Vladimir Putintoday congratulated his “dear friend” Xi Jinping for having been re-elected Secretary General of the Communist Party of Chinaand was convinced that the results of the 20th CPC Congress will contribute to strengthening the position of the Asian giant in the international arena.
“Receive our warmest congratulations on your re-election as General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China,” Putin wrote to Xi in a telegram published by the Kremlin.
Putin claimed that the results of the 20th CPC Congress “fully confirmed his high political authority, as well as the unity of the party he leads.”
“I am sure that the decisions of the Congress will contribute to the successful implementation of the large-scale socio-economic tasks facing Chinaas well as to strengthen the country’s position in the international arena,” the Russian president said.
The head of the Kremlin also underlined his willingness to continue the constructive dialogue with Xi and the close joint work between both leaders to develop strategic relations and interaction between the two countries.
“From the bottom of my heart, dear friend, I wish you further success in your responsible work, good health and prosperity,” Putin says in his telegram to Xi.
