CHENNAI: Customs officials in Andhra have severely assaulted students of Tamil Nadu law college. Even though they have cash in their car, they are threatening to pay the cash as the cash checking machine at the toll booth has been repaired. As the law college students protested, the customs officials severely attacked the law college students with sticks and wires.
Many students were injured. Instead of taking action against the customs officials, Andhra Police has registered a case against the injured students of Tamil Nadu Law College. I strongly condemn this. In addition to withdrawing the cases, I urge you to register a case and arrest the customs officers involved in this attack.
