Let us update you – from today you can be present at your own funeral – but it will cost you “a few shekels”.
A company founded in Russia offered its customers the opportunity to attend their funeral and experience the burial ceremony while they were alive – in exchange for an exorbitant price of no less than 3.5 million rubles ($57,000). The company’s founder, Yekaterina Provezhansky, a native of the Russian powerhouse, announced the new venture earlier this week. She assured her clients that through the ceremony they would discover new talents and “mental abilities to deal with the fears and anxieties of death” after the funeral.
Provezanski described her delusional proposal in an Instagram post as “a real way to fight for yourself and your happiness.” As part of the project, it is possible to pay for different routes, one of which is an “online funeral” which will cost $15,000 and is considered to “treat stress, fears and anxieties”. The other track is called “full funeral” and will cost $57,000. This is a real burial of up to an hour for the client and includes a full religious ceremony and “resurrection of the dead with a renewed consciousness around your mission in the world”, which should renew the will to live.
