“A discount at the pump for Christophe Galtier and his Lamborghini”: the PSG coach targeted at the Assembly

by time news

Several weeks after the sand yachting episode, Christophe Galtier resumed his rank on Monday, in the midst of a debate in the National Assembly this time. Ecologist MP Cyrielle Chatelain (EELV) took as a reference “Christophe Galtier and his Lamborghini” to denounce the government’s pump discount policy.

Ms. Chatelain, president of the environmental group in the National Assembly, challenged Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne at the Palais-Bourbon: “Your planning is a masquerade, she declared in particular. Your budget gives a blank check to the richest, while they pollute eight times more than households and 50% of the poorest French people (…) Take fuel for example, prices are soaring. »

“You are implementing a pump discount of 7.6 billion euros. And for whom? For who ? For Christophe Galtier and his Lamborghini. Because this discount benefits twice as much for the richest…”

The pump rebate financed by the State of 30 centimes has been extended until mid-November when it was to drop to 10 centimes from 1 November.

“We are going to extend this discount on fuel until mid-November, and I had the CEO of Total this afternoon who will also extend his discount,” announced the Prime Minister on October 16. The discount of 20 cents from Total Energies was initially scheduled for September 1 to November 1 in its French service stations, then was to drop to 10 cents per liter until December 31.

Three motions of censure are debated this Monday in the hemicycle, the first of which, tabled by the New Popular Ecological and Social Union (Nupes), which responds, like that of the National Rally (RN), to the use of 49.3 by the government on the revenue part of the 2023 finance bill.
