Washington: Four-year-old boy dies after eating cannabis-laced candy In the incident, the police registered a case of murder against the mother. The incident took place in Spotsylvania, Virginia, USA. The police charged Dorothy Annette Clement (30) with the crime of murder.

The woman was charged with not saving the child despite being motionless. The police said that the child’s life could have been saved if he had been taken to the hospital on time. On May 6, the child became paralyzed after eating sweets. The baby was later taken to the hospital but died two days later.

Doctors said the cause of death was an overdose of ganja-laced candy which got stuck in the throat without being digested. The baby had eaten more than half of the bottled candy.

But the police found an empty bottle. The police said that the woman has committed a crime punishable by up to 40 years and has been charged with negligent handling of intoxicants and child neglect.
