Meeting with Gaël Guiraud, Jesuit and economist committed to environmental justice, in constant dialogue with thinkers from the South to recompose a world in common.

Here is a program that allows us to question our economic, but also social and spiritual model, in the company of a researcher committed body and soul to more social and environmental justice, the economist Gael Giraud. Jesuit, normalien and polytechnicien, but also director of research at the CNRSGaël Giraud currently directs the 1st chair of environmental justice, which he created at theGeorgetown University, in the USA.

We took advantage of his visit to Paris, for the release of his latest essay “Composing a world in common» to the well-named editions of the Threshold, to open our ears and above all our minds, to other possibilities in common. It is then a question of finding new resources with all those in particular in the South, but also in the North in the East and the West, who have the courage to rethink our future on earth starting, precisely, from the notion of the commons and commons. So, what resources for the world to come?

Let’s ask together with Gael Giraud, but also with a telephone intervention by the Senegalese economist and thinker Felwine Sarr.
