My salary will change when the film I do enters the 50 crore club: Aisharya Lakshmi

Aisharya Lakshmi is an actress who has won the love of not only the Malayalees but also the non-language movie lovers by playing excellent roles. Aisharya’s new film is Kumari directed by Nirmal Sahadeva.

The actor is talking about the remuneration given in the film. Aisharya said that she has paid for the lead role Kumari as well as for the film Kanekkane and if her film reaches the collection of 50 crores then her salary will increase. In an interview given to Mathrubhumi.com, the actor talked about the reward he gets from the film.

“I look at discussions about remuneration in the film industry differently. The difference in pay is in many areas. The film has quite a bit more of that kind of discussion.

I don’t work much less my pay. One thing I have realized is that the remuneration we demand should not be a burden to those in the film. Because till then a producer makes a film by adding all the savings in hand.

The producer should get at least four times what we get from the film. I think only that one ratio should work. That’s what I follow.

If Aisharya says that we have so much to offer, come and act, I will not be a part of that film. I have bought the same remuneration in Kumari as I did for Kanekkane. Kumari is a high budget movie.

We cannot bring about change if we just discuss this matter. I will increase my salary when my film is heard in 50 crore club. Apart from that, I realized that I am not qualified to ask for an increase in salary,” said Aisharya.

Kumari will hit theaters on October 28. The trailer of Kumari, which tells the story by creating a fantasy world in a mythical setting, has garnered much attention.
