According to the leaks, Honor plans to launch a new flagship-class phone very soon. The new phone is said to be Honor 80 Pro+ which will have a professional 200MP camera and super fast charging of up to 100W.

The source of this information is Digital Chat Station – one of the most famous Chinese phone company news leakers – who shared interesting information about the phone on the Chinese platform Weibo.

The leaker said that the phone will have a 1.5K AMOLED screen and it will be a “Flexible” screen, but it certainly does not mean a “foldable” screen, but rather a “curved” screen.

The phone screen will be curved like many of the leading Android smartphones these days. The phone will most likely be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 SoC which may disappoint many as we were expecting the phone to have the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 SoC.

Although the performance difference is almost non-existent between the two chipsets, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 processor has better temperature under heavy stress and has better heat dissipation and power consumption.

In addition, the phone is likely to have up to 12GB of RAM, but the source did not say what type of RAM will be used with the phone.

Besides the Honor 80 Pro+, the base model in the series is also expected to arrive, the Honor 80, which is said to have the all-new MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC, and the Honor 80 Pro model will have a Snapdragon 778G SoC.

In this way, we expect the arrival of three new phones from Honor within the Honor 80 series before the end of this year. In fact, we are not sure when the phones will be announced specifically, but if the Chinese company sticks to the same timeline for announcing the previous Honor 70 phones, the Honor 80 series will certainly be announced before the end of 2022.

As for the design of the phone, it is likely that the new series phones will come with the same usual design, as the company has used the same design with all its flagship phones for several years, but at the same time we can be wrong in this regard.
