PSG-Maccabi Haifa: 14 people arrested, mainly for using smoke bombs in the stadium

Fourteen people were arrested on Tuesday evening, most of them inside the Parc des Princes, during the Champions League match between PSG and Maccabi Haifa, we learned from a police source. The majority of the arrests were made for the use of smoke bombs in the stadium, the same source added.

One person was arrested for pickpocketing Israeli supporters and another for contempt, it was added. This meeting was considered high risk and the Paris police headquarters had mobilized 800 members of the police. It did not give rise, moreover, to major clashes.

At the end of the afternoon before kick-off, several hundred Israeli supporters had gathered without overflowing on the avenue des Champs-Elysées.
