The investigation continues into the disappearance of Justine Vayrac. This 20-year-old young woman disappeared overnight from Saturday to Sunday and gave no further signs of life. A man was taken into custody, and the student’s phone would have been found at his home, as well as traces of blood in his car.
What happened the night he disappeared?
Justine Vayrac has not been seen since Sunday morning. She was last seen around 4 a.m., near the “La Charrette” nightclub where she was spending the evening, in Brive la Gaillarde, prosecutor Emilie Abrantes said in a statement on Tuesday.
According to witnesses, the young woman, who lives in Tauriac (Lot), about forty kilometers south-east of Brive, “would have been seen for the last time in the company of a young man”, near the discotheque, “while she was out to get some air”, continues the magistrate. According to the prosecutor, the young woman’s vehicle was found near the nightclub, “open and containing personal effects”.
Who is the man in custody?

He has an alibi for the rest of the evening. A shoe that could belong to the student was found in her car, the source said.
According to information from BFMTV, another young woman, who spent part of the evening with the man in police custody, told investigators that she heard a telephone ring. A phone that does not belong to the person concerned. She also describes a withdrawn and mute man that evening, which is not his habit.
Where are the searches?
Research was carried out Monday evening by dog teams, without success. According to the search notice issued by the police, the young woman has medium-length and smooth brown hair, light eyes and is 1.65 m tall. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a pastel pink dress and white Converse brand sneakers.
Still according to BFMTV, readings taken in this car found traces of blood at the level of the gear knob and the brake and in the room of the young man. When the police arrived at his home on Tuesday morning to arrest him, the suspect reportedly fled before being caught. During the searches, the police got their hands on Justine’s mobile phone.

“It is not normal that she has not given any news since Sunday and it is unthinkable that she disappeared voluntarily”, indicated the mother of Justine Vayrac. “One Saturday a month, she likes to meet up with some friends. She dances and then she comes home, but she always comes home because she has a boyfriend and he is waiting for her. It’s his little valve one Saturday a month, ”explains his mother, Marina to RMC.
“My daughter would never leave me without news. We are fusional, she lives 50 m from my house, we see each other and we call each other all the time. She even comes to kiss me in the evening, before I leave for my night job. According to her mother, Justine Vayrac is the mother of a two and a half year old child. “She does not live with the father, who is in Toulouse, but it is going well, things are settled with him and she has had custody,” she explained.
