Dubai – Dubai police busted an international drug network. The police arrested six accused within seven hours after receiving the tip-off. A person called the police and informed that the suspects were trying to smuggle drugs in 280 bags (5.6 tons) of natural and plastic broad beans. Following this, the police followed the accused and raided their hideout.
436 kg of drugs were seized from here. The mission, dubbed ‘Operation Legumes’, also required the services of a special unit of police dogs to sniff out drugs packed in plastic food.
