Chennai: A girl from Kotturpuram, Chennai has been selected to participate in the national archery championship to be held in Andhra Pradesh.
The 15th State Archery Championship organized by the Tamil Nadu Archery Association was held at the MGR Women’s College campus in Adyar.
In this, competitions were held in individual, doubles and mixed categories for mini sub-junior, sub-junior, junior and senior categories.
In this competition, many sportsmen and women from various districts including Chennai participated and displayed their skills and were amazing. In this, a student named Sangamitra from Kotturpuram, who is studying in the fourth standard at Chennai Adyar Kendra Vidyalaya School, participated.
He participated in the outdoor category ‘Rig Pau’ in the under-10 category and won a silver medal. Also, it is worth noting that he has qualified to participate in the national level competition to be held in December in Andhra Pradesh.
