Adoor Film Festival From Tomorrow – LOCAL – PATHANAMTHITTA

Pathanamthitta: The 6th Adoor International Film Festival will be held on 28, 29 and 30 at Adoor Smita Theatre. Film director Adoor Gopalakrishnan will inaugurate the film festival on 28th at 5.30 pm. Eight films are being screened in the world cinema category, two films and three Malayalam films in the Indian cinema category. Swayamvaram will be screened as the opening film to mark the film’s 50th anniversary. Ten films selected from the short film competition category organized in connection with this will be screened. Seven awards will be presented at the closing ceremony in categories of best film, second best film, screenplay, direction, cinematography, best actor and actress. Film director Blesi will inaugurate the closing ceremony. Collector Dr. divine S. Iyer will be the chief guest. In the open forum on 29th, a seminar will be held on the topic “Malayalam cinema new directions, new vellu vallis”. The film festival is organized in collaboration with Cinemates Film Society, Adoor Municipality, State Film Academy and Federation of Film Societies of India. In the press conference, Chairman Deputy Speaker Chittayam Gopakumar, General Convener C. Suresh Babu and Secretary Rajeev Perumpuzha were present.
