Naaldwijk – Carma – center for life with and after cancer organizes the course ‘Massage and touch in cancer’ on Wednesday 2 and 9 November from 7.30 pm to 9.15 pm.
Especially for family members and friends, Martin Wolf – one of Carma’s masseurs – gives simple instructions these two evenings to make the loved one who is or has been ill feel better. The participants learn how to touch in a responsible way and receive tips on what to ‘do’.
Much attention is paid to the vulnerability of the person who will undergo the massage. The evening takes shape by actively working/practising with each other and also going through a small piece of theory. The participants receive a handout with photos and examples, which is useful for home.
One of the guests who took this course last time: ‘This course brought me peace, relaxation and partly acceptance of my new body. This course is highly recommended, provides moments of rest at home, recharges together.’
