Police on Thursday arrested Afzhar Khan, the relative of Jamesha Mubeen, who died in the Coimbatore car blast incident.

A car exploded and caught fire near Ukkadam Fort Sangameswarar Temple in Coimbatore last Sunday at 4 am. In this Ukkadam GM. Jamesha Mubeen (25), a youth from the city, died.

However, after the police inquired why the two-and-a-half-year-old girl had the laptop, she admitted that Jamesha Mubeen had been using it whenever he came home.

Jamesha Mubeen has been consulting with some people including Afzhar Khan regarding the manufacture of explosives. In order to avoid suspicion, some items have been registered and purchased online at their close friends and relatives’ home addresses. The police are also investigating the people who helped them to buy the items online.
