The Frenchman announced on Twitter that he will not compete in the Paris-Bercy master 1000.
The French N.1 Gaël Monfils will not participate in the Paris-Bercy Masters 1000 which begins on Monday because he feels “limited in his movements”, he announced on Twitter on Friday.
“Hi friends, as you have seen this week on stream, I am still limited in my movements on the court. I will therefore not be able to defend my chances at the Rolex Paris Masters. I will take advantage of the end of the year to prepare for the following season.
The 36-year-old Parisian hasn’t played since suffering a foot injury in August. He also became a father for the first time this month.
