India’s first-ever 4.2 MW wind farm at Vadalivilai village near Valliyur has started its trial run today.


A wind farm with the highest power generation capacity in India has been set up by Balaji Anco at Vadalivillai near Valliyur in Nellai district. This wind farm has been set up at an estimated cost of 88 crore rupees in the technology of Vec Company from Brazil. It is intended to generate 4.2 MW of electricity per hour and the preliminary work has been started and the final stage has been reached. Union Minister of State for Energy and Chemicals Bhagwant Guba inspected and inspected this wind farm on the 4th. Subsequently, Balaji asked the company officials about the operation of the wind farm with high power generation capacity and the production cost.

The move comes in line with Prime Minister Modi’s target of generating 500 GW of electricity from non-conventional energy in India by 2030. Through the trial run which started today, thousand units of electricity are being produced per 1 hour. This electricity is supplied and distributed in a central power plant. The company will supply the electricity generated during the trial period to the government free of cost.
