Legendary actor Nipon Goswami passed away..!!

Nibon Goswami was born in 1942 in Tezpur, Assam. He started his career as a theater artist and graduated from National Film College, Pune in 1965. Later he acted in Hindi, Assamese and Bengali language films. He is credited with being the first professionally trained Assamese actor to work in Assamese films.

Sangram, Dr. He has acted in many films including Besparua, Mukuda, Manab Aru Thanab, Morisika, Abijaan, Shanthan. As a hero and character actor, he has carved a special place for himself in the hearts of the people of Assam.

At this stage, he was suffering from heart disease and was admitted to a private hospital in Guwahati for treatment. In this case, he died yesterday (Oct. 27) without treatment. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma and former Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal have condoled his demise.

Ranjita Goswami, wife of late Nibon Goswami, died a year and a half ago. His son Siddharth Goswami is working as an engineer in a software company in Mumbai. But, it is said that he is interested in acting and he is going to act in movies soon.
