Xiaomi has announced the Book Air 13, the successor to the Mi Notebook Air series and according to it this is its thinnest and lightest computer to date. It is a 2-in-1 computer, with a screen on a pivot that rotates 360 degrees with a 13.3-inch OLED display, a resolution of 2880X1800 pixels and a refresh rate of 60 Hz.

The specifications of Book Air 13 are based on 12th generation Intel Core i7 processors, with graphics processors from the Iris Xe series. The computer comes with 16 gigabytes of LPDDR5 type working memory, and a 512 gigabyte SSD drive. The case is made almost entirely of aluminum, weighing 1.2 kilograms and 12 millimeters thick. Considering these dimensions, it is not surprising that the range of physical connections is relatively limited: a total of two Thunderbolt 4 connections, and a standard headphone input.

The Book Air 13 supports WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 connection, and also comes with a pair of speakers, two microphones, an 8-megapixel front camera, a backlit keyboard and a fingerprint scanner integrated into the power button. The Windows 11 operating system is pre-installed.

The price of the computer in China will be about 774 dollars. Another and slightly cheaper edition with a Core i5 processor will be sold later for about 691 dollars.
