The storm was followed by strong winds and heavy rain. Various towns in Maguindanao province were flooded due to incessant torrential rains. Hundreds of houses were inundated as residential areas were flooded.

It is also said that following the stormy rains, there have been terrible landslides in many places. Many houses were buried under the soil. Rocks rolled down the hilly roads.

Meanwhile, reports from there indicate that 31 people have died in the storm, rain and flood-related incidents so far. The death toll is feared to rise as more people remain missing.

Officials said that the army has been deployed to rescue the people trapped in the flood-affected areas and the rescue operations are going on in full swing. They said that so far more than 5 thousand people have been rescued and accommodated in relief camps.
