Is drinking alcohol good for people under the age of 40?

by time news

A new global study published in The Lancet finds no health benefit from drinking alcoholic beverages in people under the age of 40. The report is based on 30 years of information on people between the ages of 15 and 95.

The research concluded that drinking alcoholic beverages does not protect against various diseases, including high blood pressure, epilepsy, and various types of cancer. The data also found that alcohol drinkers under the age of 40 were more likely to have potential threats, such as fatal alcohol-related car accidents and committing homicides.
