New York ∙ The Marth Maryam Women’s Society of the Northeast American Mission celebrated its 40th anniversary. The annual celebrations were organized under the leadership of AB Paulus. Souvenirs were also published as part of the celebrations.
On the completion of 40 years since the Samaj was formed in Bhadrasana, all those who completed 40 years were felicitated. The celebrations were held at the church in Philadelphia on Rue. As part of the philanthropic activities associated with the anniversary celebrations, 50 children will be honored with scholarships. 50 scholarships worth Rs.1 lakh are awarded.
Students who are going through challenges and crises, who have deep religious convictions, academic brilliance, personal excellence, etc. and who intend to pursue higher education in the vocational field are selected for scholarships worth Rs.
Through the hard work of every member of the Samaj, the target of raising Rs.50 Lakhs and more has been successfully completed.Many applications have been received in the prescribed application form for scholarship from the Malankara Orthodox Church churches on an all Malankara basis.
Due to more than expected (over two hundred) applications, Pa decided to increase the number of scholarship winners from forty to fifty. The steps have been started to deliver the scholarship amount to the selected candidates as soon as possible.
