May not be updated iOS 16 It is the radical update that takes the iPhone operating system to a new level, but it is a great start at the level of customization and additions that the system missed a lot during its previous versions, and among those distinguished additions is the ability to add widgets in the lock screen or Lock Screen, which is the completely new addition to System after it was only available on the main screen.
The feature of adding widgets in the lock screen has many advantages such as always displaying the weather, displaying some Apple Watch data, displaying the status and battery level, and other additions that cannot be considered huge, but they are a very good addition.
How to add widgets in the lock screen in iOS 16
You can add widgets in the lock screen, you first have to show them by closing the phone screen and then press the power button on the side to show it. Long press on the screen until you see an image as below, choose the lock screen you want to add widgets to, and then click Customize.

You will now see the lock screen that you have chosen and the background image associated with it for the home screen will also appear, choose the lock screen and click on it.
You will notice that there are areas defined by a gray frame, all of these areas are widgets, click on any area to add a widget to it and the available options will appear, and you can hide an existing widget by long pressing on it.

When you choose the add-on you want, you will see a set of add-ons that Apple recommends, most of which are widgets for the Apple applications themselves. You selected it earlier, and you can change this location by tapping and swiping on the screen.
When you choose, if you scroll down the screen you will see another set of widgets which are not many but mainly depend on the applications you have previously installed on the phone, and remember that you definitely do not want any extension that can display any of your important or sensitive personal information or data.

After you have finished choosing what you want from the additions, click on Done at the top right of the screen to save the changes.
