The arrest of a 60-year-old Tel Aviv resident suspected of murdering her sister was extended by 5 days

The Tel Aviv Magistrate’s Court extended by five days this morning (Sunday) the arrest of a 60-year-old Tel Aviv resident, who is suspected of murdering her sister, involvement in her fall from the roof of a building and conspiracy to commit a crime.

After about six months: criminal suspicion in the incident of a woman falling to her death from a roof in Tel Aviv

The court agreed to the police’s request and extended the detention after last week the suspect’s attorney appealed the very decision to extend her detention, but the appeal was rejected. Today she was brought in for a second detention extension, and the investigation into her case continues.

As I recall, the victim’s body was transferred to the Institute of Forensic Medicine and an examination of the circumstances of her death initially did not raise any suspicion of criminality, but at a later stage the police received a suspicious report, and subsequently an undercover investigation was opened regarding the circumstances of the case. As I recall, at first the suspicion arose that she apparently went up to the roof of a building to repair a solar water heater, tripped – and fell down.

However, the one who contacted the police about three months ago was the insurance company, given the fact that the older sister of the deceased asked to make changes to the victim’s insurance policy several months before she fell from the roof.

As part of the investigation, the woman’s sister, 60 years old from Tel Aviv, was arrested. At the request of the suspect’s defense, a publication ban was issued on her name and the name of the victim.
