New Delhi: While it has been announced that the upcoming winter session will begin at the new Parli building, there has been a delay in the construction work of the new Parli.

In December 2020, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for the ‘Central Vista’ project, which will redevelop Delhi’s Vijay Chowk to India Gate area. Under the project, a new triangular-shaped Parliament Building, Central Secretariat, a new residence and office for the Prime Minister, and a new residence for the Vice President are underway.

According to official sources, a part of the new Parli building will become operational on November 26, the Constitution Day. The Parli., Winter Session to be held in November will be held at the new Parli., Campus. Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said.

Meanwhile, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri visited the site along with ministry officials on Saturday, and he said on social media that the construction work is going on in full swing. He posted that we will dedicate the building to the country on the right date. Earlier on August 4, Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs Kaushal Kishor, while answering a question in the Lok Sabha, had said that the brand new construction was “70 per cent complete”.
