Warning….!! More than 70 wild elephants migrated to Javalagiri forest area…..public in fear…!!!

by time news

Every year during the months of October and November, large numbers of wild elephants migrate from Bannerghatta forest in Karnataka state to Dhenkanikottai forest in Krishnagiri district in search of food and water. Yesterday, more than 70 wild elephants entered the forest from the Karnataka forest and roamed around in different groups. Due to this, the villagers adjacent to the forest area are very scared. It is expected that the elephants will be shifted to Dhenkanikottai forest soon.

In this case, the forest department led by Jawalgiri Forester Sukumar and Dhenkanikottai Forester Murugesan are taking steps to drive the elephants back into the Karnataka forest before they enter the Hosur forest. Due to this, more than ten villagers including Javalagiri and Agalakottai are safe and the forest department has warned them not to take their cattle for grazing.
