Women’s Junior World Cup Football – Spain crowned champions

The Under-17 Women’s World Cup football tournament was held in India on the 11th. Spain-Colombia women’s teams qualified for the final match of the 16-team series.

Both the teams failed to score in the first half of the final played yesterday at Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. In the 2nd half, Colombia’s Ana Maria Guzmán scored a goal for Spain after a mistake in the 82nd minute of the match.

Colombia’s efforts to fix it have since been unsuccessful. In the end, the Spanish women’s team won 1-0 and became champions for the second time.
