After years of disconnection: Turkey returns to the market in Israel

by time news

Turkey is expected to return to marketing the country’s tourism in Israel, for the first time since 2018, it was reported today (Monday) on “This Morning” in Kan Network B. Since the severance of relations with the country about 4 years ago, Turkey has stopped marketing itself in Israel. Now, due to the warming of relations that culminated in the meetings of Herzog, Lapid and Gantz with Erdogan, the Turkish government has purchased space at the International Tourism Fair, IMTM, which is held every year.

At the event that takes place every February, Turkey will set up a marketing pavilion on its behalf, measuring about 150 meters, with the aim of offering Israeli tourism agents and people to come back. Of course, the same event also comes after the foiling of Iranian attempts to harm Israeli tourists, in Turkish-Israeli security cooperation.

The Minister of Tourism, Yoel Razbozov told the news here that “Tourism is a bridge to peace. This is the reason that as soon as Prime Minister Lapid resolved the crisis in relations with Turkey, the Turks, for their part, return to expressing confidence in the State of Israel and thereby offer the Israelis cheap holiday packages with them. I am convinced that at the same time the organizers knew Tourism here in Israel will bring back tourists from Turkey. That way, many Israelis will be able to enjoy more diverse vacations in Turkey and the state will benefit from the large revenues for the Israeli economy from the tourists who will come here.”
