Hapoel Tel Aviv continues to be punished by the court of the Football Association. Tonight (Monday), the Reds were fined 30,000 shekels by the Football Association’s tribunal, this following the fact that they allowed fans sitting in gates 4-5 to purchase tickets for other gates at the price of one shekel, this after the tribunal ordered the stands to be closed. In addition, the Reds were given a conditional fine of NIS 100,000.

As a reminder, Hapoel Tel Aviv was prosecuted at the beginning of September following the throwing of sea balls by the occupants of the 4-5 gates onto the grass as a protest against the management during the league game against Bnei Sakhnin and received a fine of NIS 20,000 in addition to the closure of the 4-5 stands for one game.

In the same game, against Hapoel Jerusalem, the club’s management sent an email to the subscribers of gates 4-5 informing them that they could purchase a ticket at a cost of 1 shekel, when those subscribers bought tickets at the minimum price for gate 8.

The judge, attorney Giora Landau, wrote in the verdict: “The defendant knowingly and intentionally violated the provisions of regulation 22.f.2 and made available to the season ticket holders in the closed stands replacement tickets costing 0 shekels. By doing so, the accused chose to surrender and surrender to the authority of the subscription holders in the stands, due to whose behavior she was prosecuted and convicted as stated, while she chooses this surrender over respecting the disciplinary regulations of the association of which she is a respected member.”

Yuval Shadami, Hapoel Tel Aviv representative responded: “The email was indeed sent to the fans and they also received the tickets for one shekel. 5,000 fans sit in these stands. The punishment was imposed following a match with Bnei Sakhnin. The stands were closed and the fans entered gate 8. They are not allowed to bring in cheering devices. The team chose not to punish all the fans.”
