Like a bad trick of Russian roulette for Halloween. The social network Instagram has been experiencing a strange outage for the past few hours which is suspending user accounts randomly and in a massive way.
According to the Down Detector site, the first reports started around 2:30 p.m. and the problem is reported on all continents. The hashtag #Instagramdown is also trending on the social network Twitter.
“We suspended your account on October 31, 2022,” reads an alert message that affects thousands of accounts. Other users found that their profile and all content just disappeared.
The subsidiary of the Meta group explained on Twitter to be aware of the breakdown. “We are looking at where the connection problem comes from and we apologize for the inconvenience caused,” posted the communication from the social network.
