BJP tops by getting Rs. 4,200 crore funds.. Approved fraud called election bonds?

by time news

August to October 2022 as per information provided by SBI through the recent RTI Act One crore denomination(Denomination) in 10,000 electoral bonds It says that it has been printed.

Year 2018 Election bond by BJP Govt(Electoral Bond) scheme was brought. Electoral Bonds in denominations of Rs 1,000, Rs 10,000, Rs 1,00,000, Rs 10,00,000, Rs 1,00,00,000 are available at authorized SBI Bank branches. Through this, individuals and large companies can donate funds to parties approved by the Election Commission. There is no restriction on how many electoral bonds one can get.

Representation of People act, 1951 authorized by law and in parliament or assembly Parties with 1% votes Funds can be obtained only through election bond. But the Election Commission said that we do not have a list of which parties can get funds through election bonds.

The Representation of People Act required parties to hand over to the Election Commission at the end of the financial year the names and details of those who donated more than 20,000 rupees to parties during elections. The BJP government amended this through the Electoral Bond Scheme, 2018, where the names of those who provide funds to the parties through the electoral bond need not be handed over to the Election Commission.

In 2019, the Election Commission informed the Supreme Court that the election bond is against transparency.

Centre for Media Studies According to a report published by Poll Expenditure, The 2019 Elections, 55,000-60,000 crore rupees have been spent in the 2019 parliamentary elections. It has been reported that this is the most expensive election in the elections so far.

Also, name in the elections held so far Unspecified funds It is noteworthy that (Anonymous Funding) was given the most in the 2019 election.

The Election Commission has published anonymized annual audit reports on the funds received by the approved parties through election bonds.

According to the data available on the website of the Election Commission, out of the 221 crore rupees issued in the financial year 2017-18, the BJP received Rs 210 crore and the Congress Rs 5 crore through election bonds. It does not include the data of parties like Trinamool, DMK, AIADMK.

2539.17 crores provided in the financial year 2018-19 BJP 1450.89 crore, Congress- 383.2 crores, Trinamool Congress- 97.28 crores has also received funds. Aam Aadmi Party, DMK and AIADMK parties have no data.

3441.32 crores provided for the financial year 2019-20 BJP 2555.01 croreCongress 317.86 crores, Trinamool Congress 100.46 crores, Aam Aadmi- 17.76 crores, DMK- 45.5 crores, AIADMK- 6.05 crores funds have also received through election bonds.

Out of the 325.06 crore given in the financial year 2020-21, BJP has received 22.38 crore, Congress – 10.07 crore, Trinamool Congress – 5.95 crore, DMK – 80 crore through election bonds.

* The data related to the election papers of the parties mentioned as ( – ) are not available on the website of the Election Commission.

In this, it seems that BJP has got very less funds in 2020-21 but from the year (2017-18) to 2020-21 when the election bond was brought. BJP has received funds of Rs 4238 crore. It is to be noted that this is 65% of the amount received by all parties through election bonds.

Big companies use this to their advantage as there is a provision that they can give funds to parties without mentioning their names in the election papers. These tend to favor the ruling party or major parties in elections.

A code is placed in one corner of the election paper which is invisible to the naked eye. These are Ultra violet light Designed to be visible through This index contains data such as who has given to which party and how much. All the details hidden in the code will be with SBI Bank. It is noteworthy that the ruling party can easily access this and use it to their advantage.

Also, the opposition has alleged that bringing the electoral roll under the Right to Information Act is anti-democratic. They have also said that this is like legalizing corruption.

The Marxist Communist Party, Associaton for Democratic Reforms and others had filed a case in the Supreme Court against the Electoral Bond Act. After several hearings, the case was heard again on October 6, 2022. The case has now been adjourned to December 6.

In a democracy where all parties have to participate equally in elections, laws like the Electoral Bond create an environment that favors the ruling party.

National and state parties should upload reports of large funds through election bonds on the Internet for public access.
