Microsoft recently confirmed a OneDrive issue affecting some Windows 10 systems after installing the latest updates that made it available this month, and fortunately, just a day after the issue was revealed, the company was able to provide a solution.
According to the report, the solution is for those who have installed KB5018410 or later updates and experience OneDrive crashes when performing specific actions related to the application, such as logging out or unlinking an account in the Microsoft OneDrive sync app, and unlinking sites or folders from syncing to a specific Microsoft SharePoint site Or Microsoft Teams, and uninstall the sync app from OneDrive.
User platforms such as Windows 10 version 22H2 face such situations; Windows 10, version 21H2; Windows 10, version 21H1; and Windows 10, version 20H2.
While no server platforms have been reported affected by the issue, the issue covers OneDrive and OneDrive for Business users on the above mentioned client platforms, however, it should stop now with the update being offered out of KB5020953.
