The Guia de Vins de Catalunya 2023 has chosen three wines from the DO Empordà as the best in their categories. Particularly noteworthy is the wine La Creu from the Celler Cooperatiu d’Espolla, which was chosen as the best white wine and as the best Carignan white wine. This wine is part of the ‘Postcard Wines’, a collection of estate wines from the winery’s partners.
The publication’s jury has also chosen the Pla de Tudela wine, from the Espelt winery, as the best of the Picapoll white variety. The wine from the Vilajuïga winery is produced in organic vineyards in Cap de Creus. Finally, the Guia de Vins de Catalunya has also distinguished the Esventat wine, from the Mas Llunes winery, as the best sparkling wine, it is a monovarietal white Grenache.
