The atmosphere of Nakai in the Meretz party has adopted the slang “the left of Israel” on its banner. As of this hour, the party is swinging above and below the blocking percentage with an option not to cross the threshold of hundreds of individual votes.
Last night, two party ministers were sent to the studios, who will not see the next Knesset from the inside anyway. Not even in the opposition and they were unable to hide their anger and frustration at the heavy blow they received at the polling stations.
The Minister for Regional Cooperation, Issawi Frij, commented on the results of the samples and the first real results and said tonight (Wednesday) in an interview with ‘Hadhot 12’: “I am, I am an Arab citizen.” I say that the extreme right is rising in Hungary, the neo-Nazis are raising their heads. For a party that receives 14 mandates for hating Arabs, I am anxious, and it is sad that it is at the expense of hating Arabs.”
Minister Frij continued and attacked passionately: “I see 14 mandates. I didn’t raise Ben Gabir, he grew up among you. We went to the abyss. The second thing is Meretz. On an evening like this, you have to imagine that there is no left-wing party, I can’t believe it won’t be in the Knesset.” It should be noted that Frige did not run in these elections since he announced his retirement from political life.
Also the Minister of Health Nitzan Horowitz, who headed ‘Meretz’ and deteriorated to 7th place in the primaries, was sent to the ‘News 13’ studio and in a hoarse voice expressed his pain and anger at the victory of the right and especially of Smotrich and Ben Gvir, when at one point he lost his temper and knocked on the table in anger as MK David Amsalem from The Likud who was sitting next to him claimed that he was lying.
