Which deck to choose to start well at Marvel Snap?

by time news

If you are new to Marvel Snap and want a good deck to have solid support during your first games, here is our beginner deck which could be quite effective.

A new phenomenon that is taking mobile phones and computers all over the world by storm, Marvel Snap is a collectible card game (or TCG in English) featuring characters from the Marvel multiverse. Developed and published by Nuverse, it stands out in an already very competitive category (Hearthstone, Legends of Runeterra, Magic…) thanks to its fast, intense and relatively simplified gameplay and its unique mechanics. Add to that a total respect for comic book characters and various rather successful lines of dialogue (even in French!) and you’ll have a little app that deserves some attention. For all the beginners who, like us, decide to embark on the Marvel Snap adventure, here is a fairly simple deck to set up that will allow you to start the game on a solid foundation.

ATTENTION – Normally, you should have the majority of these cards during your first game sessions, but do not hesitate to play to progress in your collection levels and unlock as many cards as possible if you are missing one! All these cards are part of pool 1 (18-214)

  • Medusa (revealed: recovers +2 power if played on the middle slot)

  • Captain America (revealed: increases the power of the cards in its slot by +1)
  • Jessica Jones (revealed: if you don’t play any card in its location next turn, gain +4 power)
  • SpiderWoman (revealed: afflicts all enemy cards in that slot with -1 power)
  • Odin (revealed: activates the effects revealed at this location a second time)

How the deck works

This deck relies on a large amount of “revealed” card power, that is, the active effects granted by certain cards once they are revealed at the end of your turn. It is of course Odin who is the mainstay of this deck since he allows you to repeat the “revealed” effects of the cards in his slot. At the start of the game, Hawkeye and Nightcrawler are solid bases, the first allowing you to secure a location quite quickly, and the second allowing you to play complicated locations like the Bar with no Name since you can move it from one location to another at any time. other.

Rocket Raccoon, The Punisher, and Star-Lord are also good options for easily gaining power on locations contested by your opponent. Medusa and Mister Fantastic are two great cards for controlling the middle slot, and they synergize well with the rest of your deck. Captain America is a solid reinforcement on a slot where you intend to place many cards, while Jessica Jones, on the other hand, offers you a great solution to hold a slot without investing your 5 or 6 mana cards in it. Odin remains the ultimate solution to perform many power combos, particularly combined with Spider-Woman for many power penalties.
