Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif met Chinese President Xi Jinping on Wednesday.

Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has gone to China for a two-day visit. He met President Xi Jinping in the country’s capital Beijing on Wednesday and held talks. At that time, he emphasized that the two countries have friendly relations in all circumstances and to strengthen the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project worth 60 billion dollars (about Rs. 5 lakh crore).

During this meeting, Xi Jinping expressed deep concern to Shahbaz about the safety of Chinese people and companies in Pakistan and insisted on creating a safe environment for those companies and China, according to a press release issued by the Chinese government.
