Five lions jumped out of the zoo; Frightened Visitors – Video

by time news

Five lions have jumped out of their cage at Sydney’s Taronga Zoo. The incident took place on Tuesday. An adult lion and four lion cubs came out of the fence. Panic spread in the zoo after this. Footage of lions roaming outside the fence has also emerged. The zoo was taking security measures after the lions escaped. Soon after the emergency siren sounded, the security team, including police officers, reached the spot. Guests were also at the zoo to participate in the ‘Roar and Snort’ event when the incident took place. The zoo officials shifted them to safe places.

But the released lions were not aggressive. After a few hours, they calmed down and returned to their nests on their own. Zoo officials said only one lion cub had to be drugged. Director of Taronga Zoo, Simon Duffy, said the zoo did not compromise on security measures and took safety precautions within seconds of the incident to prevent anyone from being harmed.

The guests at the zoo also confirm this. The zoo officials came to the tents where they were staying and asked them to move out as soon as possible. After leaving all the belongings in the tent, the guests moved to safe places. The zoo had already been closed. But lions are not mature enough to attack other zoo animals or humans. The zoo authorities have also confirmed that there was no accident. After the lions were re-entered the cage, zoo operations continued as normal.

But after the footage from the zoo came out, the social media was filled with mixed reactions. Many people’s posts criticize the caged animals that should roam freely in the forest. At the same time, there are those who have praised the authorities for having made security arrangements so that even if the monkeys get out of the cages, they cannot get out of the zoo.
