Samsung is abandoning Exynos processors (again) in favor of Snapdragon processors

by time news

One of the most heated debates among Samsung consumers is about the processors of the company’s devices. Samsung divides its production line into years: devices that come with the home processor Exynos and devices that come with the Qualcomm series processors Snapdragon. The debate always revolves around the question of who is better and which processor gives better results in the device in which it was embedded.

The Galaxy S22 series that was launched this year only came with Snapdragon processors, so it was not yet known what would happen in the Galaxy S23 series and whether Samsung would use Qualcomm processors at the same time as Exynos processors.

Now it seems that the answer has been revealed and Samsung is going to use only Qualcomm processors and if we are more precise, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 which should be announced already this month.

The Galaxy S23 Plus smartphone has been revealed on the Geekbench listing and it shows new data about the device. According to the publication, the model code is SM-S916U And it will come with the Adreno 740 graphics processor along with 8 GB of operating memory and Android 13.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor is expected to have TSMC’s 4nm chipset with one Cortex-X3 CPU core, two Cortex-A715 CPU cores, two Cortex-A710 CPU cores and three Cortex-A510 CPU cores. Because it uses ARM’s new CPU cores and TSMC’s power-efficient 4nm process, the chipset can offer impressive efficiency and energy utilization, and offer longer battery life.

It seems that once again Samsung gave up Exynos processors in favor of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processors in its premium series.
