The ‘thirty’ event in memory of the apostle Rabbi Chaim Mordechai Pevzner

by time news

A busy and emotional day was experienced yesterday by Perpignan – a French city near the border of Spain, for the soul of the great warrior Rabbi Chaim Mordechai Pavzner, who passed away prematurely on the eve of Holy Day.

First, in an emotional state of hundreds of people in the city of Perpignan in France (next to Spain) his tombstone was erected.

Several tenths of women and children of the community came to acknowledge the favor of the messenger who took care of them in every detail of their lives, physically and spiritually.

The rabbi of the community, Rabbi Mordechai Ben Shushan, spoke from the heart to promise to continue in the path of the late deceased to take care of every Jew.

Over fifty (!) emissaries who came from near and far participated in this event, a kind of regional emissary gathering, the feeling was so special, of one family who are here for each other.

Afterwards, the official Consistor community organized a wake-up call for the large crowd that arrived.

Among the speeches of the rabbis and messengers who were present, they honored the new messenger (the late Shaba had time to inform the Rebbe of this three days before his passing…) Rabbi Shmuel ben Shushan to deliver speeches. And so, ‘and the living will give to his heart’ is realized in all senses.

Later, an activity room for young people was established in the community building, which was dedicated and commemorated by the late Rabbi Haim Mordechai Pavzner. Suddenly and spontaneously, the Ansh and the emissaries who were there burst into dances to the tune of Rabbi Kislo and ‘Glory and Faith’ – there was such pure joy, joy that is mixed with accepting a burden – ‘We are with you in fire and in water’…

After that, a Jewish grocery store that opened in the city two years ago at the initiative of the late apostle dedicated a classroom in the apostle’s name.

And at the end of a busy day… the crowd arrived at the house of the late apostle and there, as something that goes without saying, they all sat down for a Hasidic gathering that lasted until the wee hours of the night.

On behalf of the friends of the family, I would like to remind you that there are only two days left until the end of the fundraising campaign for the 7 orphans – To donate online, click here
