Pope Francis arrived in Bahrain with a message of peace for those of good will. The Pope was given a warm welcome in Bahrain. Received by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Ruler of Bahrain. Representatives of the King and representatives of the Catholic Church arrived to receive the Pope who landed at 4.45 local time (Pope in Bahrain).

King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain said the Pope was the country’s most honored guest. Describing the visit as historic, the king said he was proud of the Pope’s visit to Bahrain. He said that peace is the only way to a secure future.

The Pope will visit Bahrain until November 6. Pope Francis is visiting Bahrain at the invitation of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He will attend several functions including the Bahrain Forum for Dialogue. Bahrain is the seventh Arab country in a series of visits by Pope Francis since his election on March 13, 2013, and the 58th internationally.

In his visits around the world, he delivered messages of peace and love and called for global coexistence, reconciliation, abandonment of conflict and war, and aspirations for a better future where a culture of dialogue and peaceful human coexistence prevails.
